I hear this now and again and I am not sure how to take
this….
Maybe it’s “Denise, if you were off writing a blog, you
wouldn't be boring me with your stories!”
Or maybe it’s “Denise, if you were off writing a blog, you
wouldn't send such long emails!”
And sometimes it’s “Denise you are just so funny!”
I’m not sure how to take that last one. I wasn't trying to be funny.
Okay, I probably was trying to be funny, but still….
But here I am, writing a blog.
Let’s see….um…..hmmm….nope, I got nothing.
I suppose I could start by introducing myself.
Call me Denise.
I am a Payroll Consultant.
Sounds impressive! I swoop in,
clean up payroll problems and swoop back out again. And as I get bored fairly easily, it is a pretty
good field for me to be in. I get to
travel a lot and earn lots and lots of air miles and hotel points so I can
travel for fun too.
I live with my husband of a couple of decades. I’ll call him the Blog Fodder. Or BF for short. BF is an accountant. He is in charge of taking me to the airport
and picking me up again and granting my every whim and basically just making me
life as pleasant as possible. We all
need to have our place in the world.
And then there is THE CAT.
The Short-Fuzzy-One-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed.
Since I've started traveling for work, her life has been a living
hell. She only has the BF to cater to
her needs, and he just doesn't do it right.
I get an hour long litany each week of his faults and short comings.
We all live in Western Washington. There are only a few places there
1.
Tacoma – where no one admits they live
2.
Olympia – the capital, where no one actually
lives
3.
A Ferry Ride Away – The other side of the sound
4.
Everett – or Boeing North
5.
Seattle – where no one can afford to live
6.
And Near Seattle
We live right in the heart of Near Seattle.
But, any way, here we are, Welcome!
