This year’s host, Italy…or is it the Borg?

Several countries had a couple of mist sprayers, to keep the crowds cool.  Not the US, we had zillions.  Go big or go home!

 

Poland was one of our favorites, very peaceful and pretty

 

 

Belgium just reaches out and grabs you...do I want fries? Do I want beer?

 

 

 

 

 

Malaysia wins the prize for most creative

 

Turkey was pretty

 

France had a neat garden leading up to it, but I only got a picture of the marigold “hedges”

 

 

Germany won the prize for the coolest technology.  They gave us a board that we used to interact with the displays.  Unfortunately, we didn’t get a picture of them.

 

 

The UK was a giant swarm of bees, kinda creepy to this girl who spent her childhood thinking she was allergic!

 

We kept getting Slovakia and Slovenia confused, but we ate at Andy’s (as in Warhol) at Slovakia - Good food and beer!

 

 

I wanted to sing “It’s a Small World” at Vietnam

 

Qatar was neat.  That basket was building sized, and you climbed stairs up and up

 

Then you walked down a ramp, with this light show and music coming down

 

 

The Middle Eastern Countries had the most lush Pavilions

Turkmenistan

 

And Canada?  They were not represented this year!
